- You were just the cutest little baby, and so loved! Did you notice the PERFECT icicles hanging from Popeye's tree? He would save them from year to year and hang each one individually! Amazing! The patience that man had! And they don't even make that type of icicle anymore......what a shame!

just a few from my dilapidated backyard. blame it on being from the south, and a rather dull part of the south (north louisiana), but, i’ve always had a hankering for persons, places and things in various states of ruin. i think sally mann said that nothing is truly beautiful until it begins to decay. or maybe i got that from adoring her work for so many years. either way, here’s mud in your eyes.
