happy earth day
below are some photos from one of my favorite local running routes. it’s a ten mile loop that is about 4 miles on roads and 6 on trails. i’ve running back in first landing for years and finally took a little rugged point and shoot camera along. i just wanted to share with all you random earthlings how beautiful it is back there. there just are not many places where you can run through the woods and see: ospreys, eagles, snakes, foxes, squirrels, swarms of butterflies, turtles, humming birds, woodpeckers, and raccoons. and then, end up swimming in the atlantic ocean. heaven.
- dogwood trees...one of the fabulous sights I miss from the south...
- yeah, it's really cool to see them growing wild back in the woods.

- I THINK AS I AGE MY HEAD IS GETTING, LITERALLY, BIGGER. LOOKS LIKE IT'S BEEN PHOTOSHOPPED ONTO A SMALLER BODY.

our good friends, the lugos, are finally fulfilling a long time dream of putting virginia in their rear view mirror, for good. they are moving to oregon. here are a few shots from the going away shindig we threw for them. good luck….we’ll miss you.
